Our Mission
The number one priority at TJO Sports is development. We want to see improvement. All of our professional coaches are determined to help you develop your skills and learn to play the game the correct way. For many years we have been helping players of all ages and abilities achieve success on the baseball diamond. There is no better feeling for us than to hear success stories or to see a player beaming with happiness after he or she comes out of a lesson with one of our instructors. We know baseball is an amazing sport, and we believe every child deserves to reach their full potential and ultimately enjoy playing the game of baseball. We, as a whole, are determined to help make baseball better in the south shore area, one ballplayer at a time.
Our goal is to teach every student the proper fundamentals on how to play baseball, which can only lead to correct muscle memory. This concept, along with positive enforcement, will create confidence, not only in baseball, but in everyday life. We believe our thoughts can be of help to you, not only because we have been able to play at the professional and collegiate levels, but more importantly because we have been lucky enough to coach at every level; Tee Ball, Little League, Babe Ruth, AAU, High School, and College.
Everyone at TJO Sports is extremely passionate about the game of baseball, and we are truly honored when you come in to our facility to participate in our clinics and join our programs. We consider these great opportunities for us to help you succeed in the game of baseball and in the game of life.

We guarantee when you step in to our facility you will feel at home and know you are in the best possible place to train and learn the game of baseball.
Our History
TJO Sports was founded in 2005 by Terence O'Malley. Although TJO Sports' first official location was off of 138 in Canton, the true beginnings of TJO Sports took place in Terence's backyard. In 2002, when Terence closed down his Jewelry business after 19 years, he decided to level his backyard, build a batting cage and a pitcher's mound, and eventually started giving hitting lessons. A steady clientele grew, as he taught batting and catching fundamentals and instilled confidence.
Soon enough, Terence realized baseball was where he wanted to take his next profession, and he opened up his own place in the Dedham plaza, where he continued to give lessons, run clinics, and even started his own AAU program, the Hit Doctor Diamonds. With one success story after another, Terence accrued the confidence and a following strong enough to take his business to the next level. In 2005, Terence opened up a beautiful 17,000 sq. ft. facility with 18 batting cages in Canton, MA, fulfilling his dream of owning the best baseball facility in New England.
Over the next six years, TJO Sports experienced tremendous success. Since their opening, they have helped thousands of players all over Massachusetts through private lessons and clinics, and have had as many as 300 members and 10 AAU teams each year. With the business and the clientele continuing to grow every year, there was no where else for TJO Sports to go but up, and in 2011 that is exactly what happened.
During the Summer of 2011, TJO Sports moved to a 30,000+ sq. ft. facility at the Canton Sportsplex. The expansion not only allowed the company to nearly double the size of their complex, but it positioned them in an ideal location, as they are easily accessible to three major highways. The new TJO Sports is complete with a full multi-purpose turfed field and 18 batting cages, including 14 turfed cages and 4 iron mike coin-operated machines, leaving no question that they are home to the most premier baseball and softball training facility in New England.
