Drew Dominguez

Drew is currently a member of the Red Sox Organization.
A Braintree native, Drew attended Braintree High School and was a three sport athlete(Baseball, Basketball, Football).
He graduated in 2005 and went on to Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where he captained both the Cardinal baseball and football teams.
Dominguez was a four-year starting infielder for the baseball squad, earning First Team All-NESCAC honors in 2009 after debuting as a Second Team member in 2008. He broke the Wesleyan single-season record for hits in 2008 with 56, then bettered his own mark in 2009 with 60 as he hit a lofty .387. That improved his career batting average to .333 as his 173 career hits ranks second all-time among Cardinal players.
Dominguez also took to the mound for the baseball squad as a senior, his first effort as a pitcher. It paid off as he led the team with a 5-2 record while logging five complete games in seven starts and a Division III national pitcher of the week honor.
Upon graduating Drew became the first Wesleyan graduate to sign with a Major League Baseball team in 44 years after he was offered a contract by the Boston Red Sox in June, 2009.
Drew has spent three years in the organization which include stints with the Single A Lowell Spinners, Salem Red Sox, Greenville Drive, and briefly for the Double A Portland Sea Dogs.
